Description
As a Controller Account Manager, your role involves providing comprehensive financial updates to senior management by analyzing and reporting key financial data. You will guide financial decisions by applying company policies within the current economic landscape and develop, implement, and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency. Additionally, you will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support business objectives and maximize purchasing efficiency through process improvements and cost optimization. Your responsibilities also include assisting in developing and supporting short- and long-term operational strategies, maintaining internal safeguards for revenue receipts, expenses, and company budgets, and establishing financial benchmarks, budgets, and reporting standards in coordination with the CFO. Furthermore, you will ensure compliance with national and local accounting regulations, staying updated on proposed legislation, and strengthen internal controls to protect company assets, policies, and workflows. Providing dynamic leadership to the accounting team, fostering a culture of trust and productivity, and liaising with banks, lenders, and external/internal auditors to ensure smooth financial operations are also part of your duties. Key Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management - Guide financial decisions and apply company policies - Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures - Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning - Maximize purchasing efficiency through process improvements - Assist in developing short- and long-term operational strategies - Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, expenses, and company budgets - Establish financial benchmarks, budgets, and reporting standards - Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and strengthen internal controls - Provide dynamic leadership to the accounting team - Liaise with banks, lenders, and auditors for smooth financial operations Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of professional accounting experience with a strong background in financial management - In-depth understanding of banking processes, financial analysis, and reporting - Proven track record in financial project management and process optimization - Strong knowledge of accounting regulations, policies, and best practices As a preferred qualification, a Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is desirable, along with 10+ years of experience in a senior-level accounting or finance role. Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountant) would be an added advantage. Please note that the job is full-time with benefits including paid sick time and Provident Fund. The office is located in Gurugram, Haryana, and the work schedule is during the day shift with fixed timings.
