About Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts & Payroll Manager to own day-to-day financial operations. This role ensures smooth functioning of accounting, payroll, compliance, vendor, and invoicing processes, while coordinating with external consultants for statutory filings and providing management with financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Maintain day-to-day books of accounts in Zoho (expenses, receipts, journals).
  • Reconcile company bank accounts, credit card statements, and petty cash.
  • Prepare monthly finance dashboards and MIS reports.

2. Payroll & Employee Taxation

  • Process payroll, reimbursements, and full-and-final settlements.
  • Manage PF, PT, TDS challans, and coordinate income tax declarations.
  • Handle employee queries related to salary/tax compliance.
  • Coordinate with HR for new joiner and exit formalities.

3. Invoicing & Receivables

  • Raise invoices (domestic & export of services) and share with clients.
  • Track receivables, follow up on collections, and reconcile foreign remittances (FIRC).
  • Ensure GST compliance for export of services.

4. Vendor & Contractor Management

  • Process vendor and freelancer invoices, payments, and related TDS/GST.
  • Maintain vendor records in Zoho (KYC, PAN, GST).
  • Ensure monthly vendor reconciliation and timely payouts.
  • Track vendor contracts/agreements where applicable.

5. Compliance & Taxation

  • Timely filing of GST, TDS, PF, PT, and other statutory returns.
  • Maintain compliance calendar and ensure no deadlines are missed.
  • Support during audits and statutory reviews.

6. Reporting & Advisory

  • Prepare MIS reports on expenses, receivables, vendor payments, and statutory compliance.
  • Maintain a single source of truth for reporting by consolidating all financial data in Zoho.
  • Highlight cost-saving opportunities and financial risks.
  • Provide inputs to management and coordinate with CA consultants for advanced tax/compliance matters.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • B.Com/M.Com/MBA Finance with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Zoho Books/Zoho Finance.
  • Knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, PT, payroll, and employee taxation.
  • Strong ownership, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and ability to coordinate across teams.
