Job Description

Role & responsibilities

As a Accounts Executive you will be assigned to the Accounts departments. Your responsibility is as follows but not limited to:

Maintain relevant accounts, accounting records and supporting schedule to facilitate the preparation of the financial reports covering activities transacted. Prepare Financial Statement on monthly basis.
Verify the recordings to all accounting transactions made in the books to ensure the correctness of accounts allocation and also to ensure compliance to accounting standards, WASA policies and procedures.
Assist Finance Manager in the preparation of WASA annual financial plan and budget by collecting and compiling the inputs / submission received from the line departments and reviewing the inputs / submission for adequacy, consistency and correctness.
Maintain and control the CAPEX budget of the Company by reviewing the Authorization For Expenditure against the approved budget
Prepare relevant audit schedule as required by the External Auditors for the statutory audit
Filing the GST & TDS returns
Verity and pay the ESIC & EPF challan amounts
Ensure timely payment of suppliers / vendors invoices, bills, staff claims and advances and intercompany billings
Raise and post all journal entries with respect to cash dealings and Bank-in all receipt by company and capture bank charges and forex adjustment into the system
Ensure sales made are correctly and timely invoiced and properly updated and recorded in the companys financial records. Review sales report summary and take appropriate action in respect of overdue accounts.
Maintain proper petty cash records and reimbursement to ensure adequate cash is available for urgent request. To follow the Petty Cash & Reimbursement Procedure. Ensure the bank accounts are reconciled monthly
Execute Proposed Payment List for Invoices and confirm items for payments. Run the automatic / manual cheque printing.
Process recurring payment e.g. Withholding Tax Payment, Tax Installment, etc.
Preparation of Invoices, Purchased Orders Proforma Inv, E waybills etc..
Monitor the unpresented cheque closely and prepare statement and monitor gazetted unclaimed monies and submit it to Accountant General.
Compute tax liability of the Company on yearly basis and work together with tax consultant on the tax matters to ensure that tax obligations are satisfied including the timely filing of the necessary forms.
Review internal control on material stock and witness material stock counts on half yearly basis.
Create, maintain and monitor fixed assets and project codes. Prepare periodic fixed assets listing and project balances schedules
Supervise the subordinates to ensure that all works assigned are completed timely and accurately. Provide guidance and monitor the performance of the clerks as well as identify his/her training needs.
Any other activities as assigned by your superior from time to time.
Coordinate with company secretary for ROC matters including filing of annual returns and other forms.

Responsible for all imports and exports material and arranging vehicles for dispatch material
Examine and review products and supplies to ensure quality
Responsible for Imports & Exports and Vendor coordination
Responsible for Logistics management
Track incoming inventory, delivery arrival time, and note actual arrival time
Organize and update database of suppliers, delivery times, invoices, and quantity of supplies
Work with team members, supervisors, and purchasing manager to develop future purchasing plans and source potential relationships with vendors
Analyze potential vendors and suppliers for future project needs
Ensure all deliveries contain all goods requested
Collaborate with financial team members on contracts, invoicing, and other financial matters
Undertake any other related jobs or tasks assigned to you by your superior from time to time
