Job summaryThe Role involves supporting the Integra Engineering Supervisor and Integra BU Manager.The Integra Engineer will be responsible for liaising with our Workforce, to monitor job progress and QA Documentation. Ensuring that all planned work and services are carried as per schedule.As part of the Integra Management team, he will be involved in both Workshop and Site Activities.This would include Supervision of Workers, carrying out Quality Checks and recording all relevant information, this also includes ensuring that the workforce is trained in, and familiar with the WPS requirements of the application (and that these are strictly adhered to).Another part of the role would be the liaison with 3rd Party Inspectors, suppliers and sub-contractors.WASAPL specialises in the rebuilding of Vertical Mills (Tyres and Table Liners) so other areas would include; Workshop & Site safety and best practices (5 S implementation and improvement progression).Site visits to measure up jobs and gain information regarding proposed work.Estimates for hardfacing services and products (Under the guidance of the Integra Manager).Production Planning and organisation to ensure that sufficient consumables and outsourced items are available for progressive work. Areas of responsibility Estimation of Materials and Manhours.Supervising a group of Welders, either on-site or in the workshop.The scheduling, planning and efficient carrying out of integra work.Implementation and drawing up of welding procedures and job activities. Auto-cad drawings of components for use in Reports and QA Documentation.The maintaining of QA documented records for all production work carried out.Writing of Job Reports on individual Projects.Ensuring that all machines and equipment are maintained and in good working order.Health, Safety and Environment.The liaison and communication with engineering personnel at other WA Group Companies (so as to obtain specialized information).Outsourcing spare/replacement parts and equipment.Carry out stocktakes of consumable parts and equipment.Undergo Job training as and when required. To be able to communicate effectively in written and verbal form with everyone in organization. To effectively participate in regular Strategic meetings with the Integra BU Manager and Integra Engineering Supervisor. Key competencies (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities/ Attitude, Job-related Behaviour) Technical qualification in Mechanical or Welding EngineeringKnowledge in both Mechanical and Metallurgical engineering.Ability to read Engineering drawings and development of components for fabrication-by use of tools like AutoCAD.Operations background and Hands-On approach, must be able to follow Welding Procedures and instructions (Good Welding knowledge and welding/hardfacing ability), Be able to set-up equipment and adjust equipment to get the best results.Basic machine knowledge related to conventional Turning lathes, CNC lathes, and allied machining process.Proactive utilization of the existing resources (effective management and planning).Good people management, organizational and problem solving skills.Outgoing personality, in order to interact with internal and external customers at all levels.In the habit of working in a busy and complex environment.Willingness and ability to travel to visit Customers and to handle complaints if any..Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD etc.Good communication skills. To ensure that all defined quality and maintenance protocols are followed, and that scheduled delivery dates are adhered to. Liaison with Purchasing and Store regarding the ordering and receipt of all steel forging and machined parts ,Welding consumables, specifying minimum stock level items to Store.Liaison with Purchasing and Store to ensure sufficient quantities of spare parts/consumables are held in stock to meet production needs. To ensure the ERP system is maintained under your own area and utilized correctly. To ensure there is a system of continuous improvement in the maintenance processes and production capability.HSETo be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe working environment for all employees according to recognised Health & Safety Standards and policy of the WA groupRole & responsibilities for Service EngineerKnowledge and experience in automated and semi automatic welding systems like Sub arc ,Open arc process. Management of Maintenance team for achieving zero break down of Integra -critical machines Preventive and predictive maintenance of machines related to Integra &long term On-site ProjectsService and repair of Integra &Customer machinesLiaison with vendors and suppliers for quotes, and related items for Integra.Liaison with OEM & WA Group for machine spares and quotes.Training of Welders and Supervisors for On-site and In-house Continuous training for welders on Upgraded machines and its usage Budgeting and planning for Maintenance, & Cost reduction of spares by indegenizingMaintaining critical spares & long lead items as Minimum Stock Level inventory (MSL)Required to work in different Project sites as and when required WITHIN SHORT NOTICE.
