Finance Account Executive

Position Overview:

We seek a dynamic and experienced Finance Accounts Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of advertising experience and a proven track record in finance accounts management. This role requires working closely with clients to understand their needs and collaborating with our creative and strategy teams to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities

Accounts & Bookkeeping

  • Maintain day-to-day accounting in Tally.
  • Handle general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable efficiently.
  • Track project-wise expenses and maintain cost sheets.

Client Billing & Media Accounting

  • Prepare client invoices for retainers, deliverables, production, and media spends.
  • Coordinate with the client servicing team for billing approvals.
  • Reconcile media vendor bills (print, digital, OOH, influencers, production vendors, etc.).
  • Manage credit notes, debit notes, and revenue recognition as per agency norms.

Vendor & Payment Management

  • Process vendor bills, ensure proper documentation, and verify rates with POs/estimates.
  • Maintain vendor ledgers and ensure timely payments.
  • Handle TDS deductions, GST calculation, and compliance on vendor payments.

Taxation & Compliance

  • Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B).
  • Handle TDS working, payment, and filing.
  • Assist in statutory audits, internal audits, and financial reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.

Banking & Financial Operations

  • Manage online banking, payments, and bank reconciliation.
  • Monitor cash flow, petty cash, and fund requirements.
  • Maintain documentation for loans, advances, and settlements.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare MIS reports, profitability reports, and budget vs actual analysis.
  • Work closely with HR, Admin, and Client Servicing teams for cross-functional tasks.
  • Support management with financial insights for decision-making.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Finance (B.Com, M.Com, MBA preferred).
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounts, preferably in an advertising or media agency.
  • Strong knowledge of Tally.
  • Must understand agency billing structure (media, production, retainers).
  • Good understanding of GST, TDS, and basic financial compliance.
  • Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Reports).
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-up.
  • Ability to handle multi-tasking in a fast-paced creative environment.
  • Knowledge of payroll basics.
  • Ability to work independently and handle pressure during month-end closures.
