As a Market Development specialist, your primary responsibility will be to develop the market for cattle, poultry, and fish feed. You will achieve this by conducting customer and farmer meetings to understand their needs and preferences. By acquiring or developing new distributors and customers, you will expand the market reach. It is crucial to build a strong foundation by identifying potential cattle farmers, poultry farmers, fish farmers, milk collection centers, and hatcheries. To ensure customer retention, appoint dealers in untapped markets. Additionally, conducting competition analysis and evaluating price/product performance for all feed types regularly will be part of your duties. Surveying the designated area and performing PDME (Plan, Do, Measure, Evaluate) for target planning across feed categories is essential for strategic growth. Your role will also involve maintaining strong relationships with key opinion leaders in the cattle, poultry, and fish farming sectors to promote products effectively. Converting existing customer relations into regular buyers of all feed categories will be a key focus area. Daily customer visits as per the tour and route plan will be required to generate business efficiently. Organizing farmer meetings for cattle, poultry, and aquaculture sectors with Extension Managers at collection centers and other locations will help in building a robust customer base. Addressing and resolving customer complaints for all feed types promptly is necessary. Arranging technical seminars for cattle, poultry, and fish farmers to educate them about feed benefits will be part of your customer relationship management strategy. Consistently following up to maintain long-term customer relationships is crucial for customer retention. In addition to market development and customer relationship management, you will be responsible for leading conversions across all feed categories and ensuring timely product delivery to customers. Completing documentation for customer creation, credit agreements, MOUs, and dealership agreements as per SOPs is essential. Coordinating with the sales coordinator to optimize delivery logistics for all feed categories and reduce transportation costs will be part of your responsibilities. Collecting and maintaining data on prospective customers categorized by geography, feed type, and customer type is crucial for targeted marketing strategies. Collaborating with internal departments and authorities for seamless operations is necessary for effective functioning.
