Fashion Designer

Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and innovative Fashion Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for fashion and a keen eye for detail, capable of translating concepts into stunning designs. This role involves collaborating with various teams to develop fashion collections that resonate with our brand identity and meet market demands.

Responsibilities

• Design and create original clothing, accessories, and footwear by utilizing knowledge of current fashion trends and consumer preferences.
• Utilize Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, to produce detailed sketches and technical drawings.
• Develop patterns and prototypes using CAD software while ensuring garment construction meets quality standards.
• Collaborate with product lifecycle management teams to oversee the design process from concept to production.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends in fashion retail and merchandising.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure designs are executed accurately and efficiently.
• Participate in fittings and provide feedback on garment adjustments as needed.
• Present design concepts to stakeholders, incorporating feedback into final designs.
• Stay updated on color theory, fabric selection, and sewing techniques to enhance design quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and CAD software is essential.
• Strong understanding of garment construction techniques and sewing machine operation.
• Experience in fashion styling, graphic design, or illustration is a plus.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management processes within the fashion industry.
• Knowledge of theater costume design can be beneficial for specific projects.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
