We are looking for a Fashion Designer cum Merchandiser who can combine creativity with strong merchandising skills to design, develop, and execute fashion collections while managing buyer requirements and vendor coordination.

Role Overview

The role requires a dynamic professional who can manage the complete cycle from design conceptualization to merchandising and production follow-ups. The candidate will play a key role in creating market-relevant designs, sourcing raw materials, handling buyer interactions, and ensuring timely delivery of collections.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

• Create innovative designs, sketches, and seasonal collections aligned with brand identity.
• Prepare tech packs, mood boards, and specification sheets.
• Research global and domestic fashion trends, fabrics, and trims.

Merchandising & Sourcing

• Coordinate with buyers, suppliers, and production teams for smooth order execution.
• Source fabrics, trims, and accessories at competitive prices while maintaining quality.
• Manage costing, price negotiations, and order placements.
• Oversee sampling, approvals, and production timelines.

Client & Market Engagement

• Conduct market and competitor research to identify new opportunities.
• Maintain strong buyer and vendor relationships.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing queries and providing timely updates.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s/Diploma in Fashion Designing, Merchandising, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in fashion design and merchandising (export/domestic market).
• Proficiency in design software (Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and production processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
