Farm Operations Lead

We are looking for a leader who can manage large-scale field operations , execute crop plans, coordinate with local farmers, and ensure timely results in high-value crop cycles. You will act as the ground-level anchor for all agronomy work — working closely with agri-input, carbon R&D, and business teams. Key Responsibilities Crop Planning & Execution Design seasonal crop calendars for tomato, watermelon, cucumber, etc. Manage daily farm activities – sowing, irrigation, pest control, harvest Maintain high productivity per acre with cost-effective techniques Farmers, Staff & Labour Coordination Supervise and train farmers, workers Allocate work, track attendance, and ensure discipline on-site Build community rapport with local farmers and landowners Monitoring, Budgeting & Reporting Track input use, field expenses, and yield vs. plan Maintain logbooks, GPS maps, and field records for MRV Provide weekly progress reports to HO and agronomy lead Integration with EELAB Innovations Implement EELAB biochar, ERW, or compost trials in farm plots Support data collection for carbon quantification Liaise with IIT and research partners for field visits Infra & Asset Management Manage tractors, irrigation systems, fencing, and post-harvest infra Ensure farm hygiene, crop rotation, and soil health standards Skills & Experience Strong practical knowledge of open field farming , water management, and yield maximization Ability to lead field teams , solve daily operational problems, and maintain discipline Familiarity with local farming practices in West Bengal / Jharkhand / Eastern India Basic skills in Excel, WhatsApp reporting, and GPS mapping desirable Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹540,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year Schedule: Day shift Education: Master's (Preferred) Experience: farm management / agronomy/ Carbon Sequestration: 5 years (Preferred) Work Location: In person
