Position Overview:
We are seeking a competent and hands-on Factory Manager to lead and oversee daily operations at our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in production planning, sound engineering knowledge, and the ability to manage administrative, HR, and statutory compliance responsibilities.This is a critical leadership role in a growing company, requiring a well-rounded individual who can optimize plant operations while ensuring discipline, safety, and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning & OperationsPlan and execute daily/weekly/monthly production schedules in alignment with sales and dispatch requirementsMonitor production KPIs such as output, yield, downtime, and qualityEnsure optimum utilization of machines, manpower, and materialsCoordinate with procurement, stores, quality control, and dispatch teamsImplement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce cost2. Engineering & Technical OversightSupervise machinery, tools, utilities, and preventive maintenance schedulesTroubleshoot and resolve shop floor issues (mechanical/electrical/instrumentation)Drive new equipment installations or factory expansion projectsEnsure proper documentation of machine parameters, breakdown logs, and repairsSupport product engineering or R&D with manufacturing inputs3. Admin, HR & Team ManagementOversee attendance, shift scheduling, and discipline across factory staff and workersCoordinate with HR for recruitment, training, and performance reviews of shop floor staffMaintain a productive and safe work environmentHandle grievances, conflict resolution, and employee engagement initiativesEnsure upkeep of facility, housekeeping, and infrastructure4. Statutory ComplianceEnsure adherence to labour laws, factory act, EHS norms, and all statutory requirementsLiaise with government authorities for inspections, renewals, and auditsMaintain and update all statutory registers, licenses, and documentationEnsure fire safety, emergency preparedness, and occupational health measures are in place
Key Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering (preferred)8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 35 years in a factory leadership roleStrong understanding of production systems, manpower management, and statutory frameworksWorking knowledge of MS Office, ERP, and maintenance software toolsFamiliarity with ISO, Lean, or TPM practices is a plus
