Role Summary

24x7 uptime, safety, and compliance

Key Responsibilities

Critical Operations & Uptime

  • Own end-to-end availability of all critical systems with Tier III/IV operational discipline.
  • Manage daily operation of

    HT/LT electrical systems, transformers, switchgear, DGs, UPS/batteries, PDUs/RPPs, chillers, CRAH/CRAC, pumps, cooling towers, BMS/EPMS/DCIM, fire detection/suppression (VESDA, clean agent), access control & CCTV

    .
  • Conduct redundancy health checks, failover drills, load bank tests, and switching operations.

Maintenance & Reliability

  • Build and execute PM/PPM schedules (daily to annual) with zero-impact windows.
  • Run predictive programs (thermography, vibration, oil/battery testing) and ensure critical spares readiness.
  • Track MTBF/MTTR and eliminate repeat failures via CAPA.

Change, Incident & Risk Management

  • Own and govern

    MOP/SOP/EOP

    , PTW/LOTO, risk assessments, rollback plans, and post-activity sign-off.
  • Lead incident response, escalation bridges, and detailed RCA reporting.

Compliance, Safety & Audits

  • Ensure statutory compliance:

    CEA, Electrical Inspectorate, PESO, CFO/Fire NOC, MPCB, Factory Act, BMC norms

    and relevant safety codes.
  • Maintain audit readiness for ISO/SOC/enterprise audits; control facility documentation (SLDs, logs, test reports).

Vendor, Budget & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage OEMs/AMCs, SLAs, and performance reviews.
  • Own OPEX/CAPEX, lifecycle replacements, and cost optimization without Tier risk.
  • Interface with internal IT/Network/BCP teams for maintenance approvals and enterprise load growth.

Team Leadership

  • Lead shift engineers/technicians and control-room operations for 24x7 coverage.
  • Train team on safety, procedures, and Tier operations; drive performance and culture.

Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech (Electrical/Mechanical/Instrumentation)

Experience

  • 5–10 years

    total facilities/critical infrastructure experience.
  • 4+ years in Tier III/IV Data Center / Mission-Critical operations (captive preferred)

  • Hands-on HT switching, redundancy architectures (N+1/2N), and live-site maintenance.

Key Skills

  • Deep expertise in

    critical power & cooling

    , BMS/EPMS/DCIM, and safe operations.
  • Strong command on

    MOP/SOP/EOP, PTW/LOTO, change control, incident RCA

  • Vendor negotiation, budgeting, documentation discipline, and calm decision-making under pressure.
