Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and responsible Facilities Manager to take charge of overseeing and managing the hospital's infrastructure, electrical systems, and housekeeping services. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of hospital facility operations, basic electrical knowledge, and the capability to supervise housekeeping staff effectively to uphold a clean, secure, and operational environment for both patients and staff. Key Responsibilities: Facility & Electrical Management: - Regular monitoring and upkeep of electrical systems, power backups (DG sets, UPS), and lighting within the hospital. - Collaborate with electrical contractors and technicians for repairs, installations, and maintenance work. - Ensure prompt servicing of lift systems, air conditioning units, generators, and biomedical equipment (in conjunction with vendors). - Uphold compliance with safety standards and adhere to preventive maintenance schedules. - Manage energy consumption and provide reports on utility usage. Housekeeping Supervision: - Supervise housekeeping personnel, create shift schedules, and allocate daily tasks. - Ensure consistent cleaning and sanitization of all hospital areas including wards, OPD, ICU, washrooms, and common spaces. - Conduct routine inspections to guarantee cleanliness, hygiene, and adherence to infection control standards. - Monitor housekeeping inventory and supplies (cleaning agents, tools, PPE kits, etc.). - Provide training to housekeeping staff on hospital safety, hygiene practices, and waste segregation procedures. General Facility Oversight: - Manage day-to-day facility operations encompassing waste disposal, pest control, plumbing, security coordination, and vendor interactions. - Maintain facility records, checklists, and compliance reports. - Assist during facility audits, fire drills, or emergency maintenance scenarios. Qualifications: Education: Diploma / ITI / Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Facility Management Certifications (preferred): Basic electrical safety, housekeeping/hospital facility management Experience: - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facility or operations management, ideally within a hospital or healthcare environment. - Proficiency in managing both electrical systems and housekeeping teams. Desired Skills: - Proficient in hospital infrastructure, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) services. - Ability to lead staff teams and liaise effectively with vendors. - Strong problem-solving abilities, inspection skills, and maintenance planning expertise. - Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, checklists, maintenance logs). - Familiarity with infection control measures and hospital safety protocols.
