Job Description

  • Be a coach / mentor to a team of Seniors and Staff s and train them to deliver high Quality industry specific work on time and within the time estimates made and agreed with the US engagement teams / key stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key EY industry leaders and contacts to grow GDS business.
  • Establishing expectations of value to be delivered on the engagements worked on from GDS.
  • Building fund accounting knowledge and capabilities within the GDS teams.
  • Contribute to technical/functional and soft-skills training to continually develop the teams skills on industry specific areas of work.
  • Be a performance manager to guide and coach GDS professionals on career advancement and provide continuous feedback throughout the performance year on their development areas.
  • Actively participate and lead overall performance development and feedback process at team level and at overall GDS level.
  • Ensure quality of service delivery
  • Follow through on client requests in a timely fashion, and manage expectations regarding the timing of deliverables and reports
  • Identify engagement and client service issues.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of accounting concepts; stay informed of professional standards and firm policies (e.g., guidelines of the EY FAAS Policy Manual); and effectively apply this knowledge to moderately difficult and/or complex client situations
  • Receive direction from the Senior Manager and Partner
  • Co-ordinating activities between small teams on projects to deliver tasks, including providing guidance and feedback to junior team members
  • Running practice development activities including contributing to thought leadership pieces, running industry events, delivering training, or managing team communications
  • Aiding proposals and bid teams in delivery of high-quality proposals
  • Developing strong internal and external networks for long term relationships, managing EY accounts and to bring all EY to clients
  • Driving innovation by creating an environment that encourages innovation and being a leader in this area by implementing new and improved ways of working, delivery models and / or technological advancements
  • Establishing and managing effective working relationships with peer-level clients as part of project delivery roles
  • Contributing to business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new / existing clients
  • Contributing to the growth of the practice by providing input to EY Point of views, development of solutions, engagement tools and enablers
  • Contributing to the development of your own and the teams technical skills by establishing a culture of highest performing teams, inclusive behaviours, and emotional intelligence
