Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Export Consultant to drive our international business expansion and manage end-to-end export operations. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of global trade regulations, market dynamics, and cross-border logistics.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute export strategies to expand J M and Co's presence in international markets
Identify new export opportunities and establish relationships with overseas buyers and distributors
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements
Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics partners for timely shipments
Prepare and review export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and shipping bills
Conduct market research to analyze competitor activities, pricing strategies, and demand trends
Negotiate terms of sale, payment methods, and contracts with international clients
Monitor and manage foreign exchange risks and payment collections
Advise on export incentives, duty drawbacks, and government schemes
Maintain updated knowledge of INCOTERMS, export-import policies, and regulatory changes
Collaborate with internal teams including production, finance, and quality control to meet export deadlines
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in International Business, Commerce, or related field
5+ years of proven experience in export operations or international trade
Strong understanding of export documentation, customs clearance procedures, and shipping processes
Knowledge of HS codes, GST regulations, and DGFT policies
Experience with Letter of Credit, bank guarantees, and international payment mechanisms
Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
Proficiency in MS Office and export management software
Preferred Skills
Existing network of international buyers and market contacts

MBA in International Business or certification in Export Management
