Job Description

The Export Assistant role involves supporting the export department to ensure efficient export operations in compliance with international trade regulations. You will be responsible for handling documentation, communicating with suppliers, customers, and freight forwarders, and assisting in logistical arrangements for shipments. Key Responsibilities: Export Documentation: Prepare and maintain all required export documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading. Shipment Coordination: Assist in scheduling and coordinating shipments to ensure timely delivery to international customers. Compliance: Ensure all shipments adhere to international trade regulations and customs requirements, including tariffs, import/export restrictions, and licensing. Communication: Maintain regular communication with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to facilitate smooth logistics. Inventory Management: Coordinate with the warehouse team to maintain accurate stock levels for export shipments. Tracking & Reporting: Monitor the status of export shipments, provide updates to customers and management, and maintain records of shipment tracking and delivery. Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries regarding shipments, order status, delivery dates, and other relevant information. Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve any shipment-related issues or delays, including customs clearance problems or transportation disruptions. Data Entry: Input export orders and shipment data into the company's system and ensure records are kept up to date. Cost Management: Assist in tracking and managing export costs to ensure efficient resource utilization. Experience: 2 - 3 years of relevant experience in export operations, logistics, or a related field is preferred. Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills. Good understanding of export documentation, international trade regulations, and shipping processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and export software/systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to multitask. Languages: Proficiency in English is required, knowledge of Hindi is a plus.
