Export and Import Assistant- Garment

As an Export and Import Assistant, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day documentation and coordination for international shipments in the garment industry. Your primary focus will be on handling export-import procedures, preparing shipping documents, uploading documents on buyer portals, and liaising with CHA and logistics partners. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and manage all export-related documents such as invoice, packing list, bill of lading, COO, and shipment advice. - Create and maintain accurate packing lists with measurements, weight, and carton details. - Handle post-shipment documentation for bank negotiation if applicable. - Upload shipping and compliance documents to various buyer portals. - Ensure timely and error-free documentation upload based on buyer-specific requirements and deadlines. - Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHAs, and transporters to ensure smooth customs clearance and shipment dispatch. - Track shipments, update internal teams and buyers on ETDs, ETAs, and any delays. - Assist in processing import documentation and follow up for timely clearance of imported goods, trims, and samples. - Communicate with buyers, shipping lines, and agents for approvals and clarifications. - Ensure adherence to buyer-specific SOPs, export laws, and company compliance standards. - Work closely with merchandising, production, accounts, and warehouse teams for timely shipment planning and execution. Key Requirements: - Minimum 2 years of experience in export-import documentation in a garment manufacturing/export company. - Strong understanding of international trade terms (INCOTERMS), export procedures, and shipping documentation. - Familiarity with buyer documentation portals and export software. - Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and email communication. - Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines. In this role, you will be working full-time with a day shift schedule at the company's in-person work location.,
