Expertise-AWS Migration Specialist (VMware To AWS EC2 (Only Chennai)

Job Description:

• AWS Migration Specialist (VMware to AWS EC2)

• Lead large-scale

  VMware to AWS EC2 migration

  projects involving 500+ VMs.
• Perform

  OS upgrades

  during migration for both

  Linux and Windows

  environments, including version assessment and compatibility validation.
• Utilize

  proprietary and open-source migration tools

  (e.g., CloudEndure, AWS Migration Hub, Application Migration Service) for discovery, replication, and cutover.
• Conduct

  VM discovery and assessment

  using industry-standard tools.
• Perform

  right-sizing analysis

  for migrated workloads, optimizing cost and performance; gather and analyze post-production feedback.
• Implement

  Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  using both

  open-source and licensed Terraform

  .
• Manage

  secrets and credentials

  in Terraform using secure methods (e.g., AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault).
• Enforce

  cloud governance and compliance policies

  using Terraform automation frameworks.
• Configure and manage

  application deployment automation

  using

  Ansible

  across multiple environments.
• Drive

  application stack modernization

  during migration including configuration, testing, and phased rollout.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Cloud Architects, DevOps Engineers, App Teams) to ensure successful cloud adoption.
  

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience migrating

  VMware workloads to AWS EC2

  at enterprise scale (500+ VMs).
• Proficiency in

  AWS migration tools

  such as CloudEndure, AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), Migration Hub, or third-party equivalents.
• Solid experience in

  OS upgrades

  (Linux and Windows) as part of migration lifecycle.
• Expertise in

  Terraform

  (open-source and Enterprise) — developing, maintaining, and securing infrastructure code.
• Strong understanding of

  secret management

  and

  policy enforcement

  in Terraform.
• Experience in

  Ansible

  for configuration management and application deployment.
• Proven experience in

  right-sizing

  ,

  cost optimization

  , and

  performance tuning

  on AWS.
• Exposure to

  cloud modernization strategies

  and

  automation best practices

  .
