Must Have Skills: Experience with Db2 and other tools maintenance processes to be able perform preventive maintenance, function level upgrade and version upgrade. Expertise in administering DB2 databases on z/OS. Proven ability in database maintenance, including regular backups, housekeeping and performance tuning. Demonstrated experience in database recovery and executing DRP procedures. Experience in providing production support. Ability to effectively apply learned skills independently, even without Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Experience with the following DBA tools is a plus: BMC Apptune, BMC AMI Ops, BMC Log Master, IBM Cloning Tool, and IBM Change Manager. Experience in copying production data to lower environments. Essential knowledge of JCL, SQL, REXX, and ISPF.
