Executive - Material Planner

As an Inventory Analyst, your primary role involves analyzing the current inventory levels for items as per Bill of Materials (BOM). You will be responsible for stock transfers of available items from free or excess stock to fulfill production orders and releasing Purchase Requisitions (PR) for non-stock and shortage items. Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team to ensure Purchase Orders (POs) are placed in line with delivery timelines for smooth operations. It is crucial to ensure there is no impact on delivery schedules. In case of any issues, escalate them to management for intervention to expedite PO placement and maintain customer satisfaction. - Create Manufacturing Work Orders for Assembly BOM and sub-Assembly BOM, and release Pick lists or Material Requisition (MR) in ERP to issue items from stores. - Follow up with stores for kit readiness and launch them to production as per schedule. - Prioritize inward stores and Quality Control (QC) for Goods Receipt Note (GRN) and inspection to ensure efficient processing of materials for production. - Monitor and record production activities, escalating any issues regarding production schedules, design problems, item shortages, and capacity constraints to the Head of Operations promptly. In addition to the key responsibilities, you will be expected to implement processes for returning excess drawn items using a Component Return Note (CRN) to streamline inventory management and reduce waste. It is vital to manage routing, scheduling, and resource allocation to align with project priorities for successful project execution. Furthermore, you will play a critical role in risk management by identifying potential risks impacting production operations and developing mitigation strategies. Encouraging a culture of continuous improvement by soliciting feedback, analyzing performance data, and implementing changes is essential for operational excellence.
