Executive - Fabric Sourcing - Woven

Job Purpose:

To source, develop, and procure woven fabrics by identifying reliable suppliers, negotiating costs, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining quality standards as per business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabric Sourcing

• Source woven fabrics (denim, cotton, blends, etc.) from domestic and international suppliers.
  
• Develop new fabric qualities as per design/merchandising requirements.
  
• Maintain a strong vendor network for woven fabrics.
  

• Costing & Negotiation:

• Obtain quotes, negotiate prices, lead times, and payment terms with suppliers.
  
• Ensure cost competitiveness while maintaining fabric quality.
  

• Quality & Compliance:

• Coordinate with QA team for fabric testing, approvals, and compliance certifications.
  
• Ensure suppliers meet quality and sustainability standards.
  

• Order Management:

• Raise fabric POs, track orders, and ensure on-time delivery.
  
• Resolve any issues related to delays, shortages, or quality defects.
  

• Coordination & Communication:

• Work closely with design, merchandising, and production teams to understand fabric requirements.
  
• Maintain updated fabric library, swatches, and supplier database.
  

• Market Research:

• Keep track of fabric trends, new developments, and innovations in woven fabrics.
  
• Identify new suppliers and mills to expand sourcing base.

Qualification & Experience:

• Graduate / Diploma in Textile Technology, Fashion Technology, or related field.
  
• 24 years of experience in fabric sourcing (woven).
  
• Experience with domestic and international sourcing preferred.
