Role & responsibilities

Center Operations:

Preparing the milk collection center for operations, ensuring it is clean, hygienic, and equipped for milk collection activities.

Milk Collection:

Overseeing the day-to-day process of collecting milk, including weighing, testing, and ensuring proper storage to prevent spoilage.

Quality Control:

Implementing and maintaining strict hygiene and quality standards at the collection point and in handling the milk.

Documentation & Finance:

Completing all necessary documentation, record-keeping, and payment-related tasks for milk collection operations and farmers.

Farmer Relations:

Interacting with farmers, providing them with educational support on best practices, and resolving any grievances they may have.

Team Management:

Managing and leading the team of staff at the milk collection center.

Safety & Compliance:

Ensuring that all operations comply with safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols, as well as any applicable national occupational standards (NOS).

Logistics:

Planning and monitoring efficient milk collection routes to ensure timely delivery to processing units.

Key Skills and Attributes

Technical Skills:

Mechanical aptitude, proficiency in operating automatic milk collection units, and understanding of chilling techniques for milk preservation.

Management Skills:

Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and manage resources and personnel effectively.

Communication Skills:

Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication abilities to interact with staff and farmers.

Attention to Detail:

High level of accuracy is required for documentation, testing, and record-keeping.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to milk collection, operations, and farmer issues.

Preferred candidate profile

Any Degree or PG with good communication skills with computerknowledge and leadership skills and fieled knowledge of Milk Procurement & FMCG or Dairy Industry experience preferable.
