Description
As an Events Manager and Anchor at WonderLab, you will play a crucial role in bringing science to life for children through engaging events, workshops, and hands-on activities. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading the end-to-end planning, management, and execution of science-themed children's events and workshops, ensuring exceptional experiences. - Serving as the main anchor and host during events, engaging young audiences and ensuring every event is memorable. - Collaborating on content creation for scripts, presentations, and activity kits tailored to different age groups. - Coordinating logistics with the operations team, including scheduling, setup, vendor management, supplies, and risk assessment. - Managing event budgets effectively while maintaining quality. - Providing on-the-spot troubleshooting and problem-solving to overcome any event-day challenges. - Gathering feedback post-event to drive continuous improvement. - Promoting upcoming events through multiple channels and representing WonderLab at community and promotional initiatives. To excel in this role, you should have: - 1-3 years of experience in event management, anchoring, or a related field (exceptional freshers considered). - Strong public speaking, hosting, and audience engagement skills, particularly with children. - Demonstrated ability to manage projects, coordinate logistics, and work with cross-functional teams. - Experience or deep interest in science communication, informal education, or the performing arts. - Proficiency in tools such as Canva, Google Suite; basic media editing skills are a plus. - Organized, proactive, energetic, and a reliable team player willing to travel for events. - A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required; experience and passion for children's education highly valued.
