Job description

We are seeking a Evaporator Operator to join our team in Kharagpur. This role involves overseeing the construction of a new chemical plant and assisting in operational activities for an existing unit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor evaporator systems (single-effect, multiple-effect, or vacuum evaporators).
• Adjust controls to regulate temperature, pressure, and flow rate to optimize performance.
• Perform start-up, shutdown, and cleaning procedures in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Record operating data such as temperature, pressure, concentration levels, and production volumes.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is functioning correctly and safely.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues with minimal downtime.
• Maintain logs and documentation of operational activity, incidents, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams for repairs and system improvements.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and sanitation procedures if working in food or pharmaceutical industries.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training is a plus.
• Experience operating industrial evaporators or related processing equipment.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, instrumentation, and process control.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and SOPs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a food, dairy, chemical, or pharmaceutical processing environment.
• Certification in process operations or mechanical systems.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
