ETL tools like Informatica / Ab Initio / DataStage

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform

  ETL Testing / Data Warehouse Testing

  for large-scale data systems
• Validate

  Source to Target Data Mapping

  , transformations, and business rules
• Execute

  Data Validation, Data Completeness, Data Accuracy, and Data Consistency testing

• Write complex

  SQL queries

  for backend data validation and reconciliation
• Test

  ETL workflows, mappings, jobs, and schedules

• Validate

  incremental loads, full loads, and CDC processes

• Perform

  Data Migration Testing

  and

  Data Quality Testing

• Use

  Python

  for ETL validation, automation, and data comparison
• Analyze ETL logs, troubleshoot data issues, and coordinate with ETL developers
  
• Prepare

  Test Scenarios, Test Cases, Test Execution Reports, and Defect Reports

• Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Data Engineers
  

Must Have Skills (Mandatory):

• 6+ years of experience in ETL Testing / Data Warehouse Testing

• Strong hands-on experience with

  ETL Tools

  :

• Informatica / Ab Initio / IBM DataStage

• Excellent knowledge of

  SQL (Advanced queries, Joins, Subqueries, Aggregations)

• Hands-on experience with

  Python

  for data validation or automation
• Strong understanding of

  Data Warehousing concepts

  :
• Fact & Dimension Tables
  
• Star & Snowflake Schema
  
• ETL Lifecycle
  
• Experience in

  Source-to-Target (S2T) validation

• Experience with

  RDBMS databases

  (Oracle / SQL Server / Teradata / PostgreSQL)
• Experience in

  Data Migration & Data Reconciliation

• Knowledge of

  Unix/Linux commands

  (Good to have)

Good to Have Skills:

• Exposure to

  Automation frameworks for ETL testing

• Experience with

  Agile / Scrum methodology

• Knowledge of

  Big Data testing (Hive / Hadoop)

  is a plus
• Experience in

  Cloud Data Platforms

  (AWS / Azure / GCP) Preferred
