Job Title: Senior Informatica Developer (with OBIEE Expertise)

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Informatica Developer with a robust background in enterprise-level data integration, data warehousing, and reporting solutions. This role demands deep technical proficiency in Informatica PowerCenter, PL/SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, and ETL job scheduling tools, along with mandatory hands-on experience in OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition) and OBIEE RPD development. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing scalable ETL solutions, enhancing data reporting capabilities, and ensuring end-to-end data pipeline reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• ETL Development: Design, build, and maintain complex ETL workflows and mappings using Informatica PowerCenter for high-volume data integration.
• Troubleshooting & Optimization: Perform detailed analysis, root cause identification, and resolution of ETL failures. Tune performance of mappings, sessions, and workflows using advanced techniques.
• SQL/PLSQL Programming: Develop optimized SQL and PL/SQL scripts including procedures, triggers, and functions to support transformation logic and data validations.
• Unix Shell Scripting: Create and manage shell scripts for job automation, file handling, and system monitoring.
• Job Scheduling: Integrate Informatica jobs with scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys, Control-M, Tidal), handling job dependencies, retries, and recovery mechanisms.
• OBIEE Development:
• Develop and maintain OBIEE reports, dashboards, and answers for business reporting needs.
• Manage and enhance OBIEE RPD (Repository) including physical, business model, and presentation layers.
• Implement security policies, logical table sources, and aggregation rules within OBIEE RPD.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Work with business analysts, data modelers, QA, and support teams to deliver well-documented, high-quality solutions.
• Data Warehousing: Apply best practices for DW concepts such as star and snowflake schemas, surrogate key handling, slowly changing dimensions, and large data volume processing.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Informatica PowerCenter: 5+ years of strong hands-on development experience.
• OBIEE: Mandatory experience with OBIEE 11g/12c report development and RPD modeling.
• SQL & PL/SQL: Proficient in writing complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and performance tuning.
• Unix/Linux Scripting: Skilled in developing shell scripts for automation and batch processing.
• Scheduling Tools: Experience integrating ETL workflows with Autosys, Control-M, or similar tools.
• Performance Tuning Techniques:
• Pushdown optimization
• Lookup and cache tuning
• Dynamic/static partitioning
• Parameterization and reusable objects
• Data Warehousing: Sound understanding of DW concepts, fact/dimension modeling, and ETL loading strategies.
• Problem Solving: Excellent analytical skills with ability to work independently and resolve complex technical issues.

Nice to Have (Optional but Beneficial)

• Experience with cloud-based ETL tools or data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and version control tools like Git.
• Exposure to Agile or Scrum development environments.
