Role Responsibilities

• Design secure, sandboxed terminal-based environments that simulate real-world attack surfaces and vulnerabilities.
• Create reproducible ethical hacking and penetration testing tasks involving reconnaissance, exploitation, and post-exploitation workflows.
• Develop multi-stage challenges with clear objectives, flags, and success criteria for autonomous agents.
• Build realistic scenarios covering port scanning, vulnerability analysis, exploit execution, privilege escalation, and remediation.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to define challenge specifications, reward functions, difficulty tiers, and evaluation metrics.
• Implement tooling for automated environment resets, exploit detection, logging, and output validation.
• Continuously refine challenge realism, safety, and reproducibility across standalone and network-based scenarios.
  

Requirements

• Professional experience in ethical hacking, penetration testing, or red teaming.
• Proficiency with common offensive security tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Wireshark, John the Ripper, Hydra, or sqlmap.
• Strong understanding of network security, web application vulnerabilities, OS-level exploits, and privilege escalation techniques.
• Comfort working in Linux environments with terminal-based workflows and shell scripting.
• Experience designing or solving CTF challenges, security labs, or real-world penetration testing scenarios.
• Interest in evaluating autonomous agents on cybersecurity tasks across reconnaissance, exploitation, and recovery phases.
• Ability to work independently and produce clean, reproducible technical environments.
