E&S Data Advisor

The Environment and Social (E&S) team within the P&O HSE&C team at bp is responsible for maintaining the single source of truth for all operational E&S data. E&S data, reported by sites across the company into OneCSR, bp's corporate reporting tool, form the foundation for bp's sustainability framework. As an E&S Data Advisor, your role will involve providing technical support to our businesses to help them comprehend and implement the necessary processes for delivering this data effectively. Your responsibilities will include providing E&S technical support to key stakeholders within the SVP HSE&C, VP E&S, E&S Systems and Data Manager, HSE&C E&S Subject Matter Experts, and operations. You will need to stay informed about the evolving E&S reporting standards and leverage E&S data analysis from various systems to assist businesses in achieving our Sustainability Aims and meeting internal and external reporting requirements. Moreover, you will support operations in implementing processes related to new external reporting standards, drive performance management through data analysis, and contribute technical insights to digitization and automation projects. To be successful in this role, you must possess a BA/BSc degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Natural Science, or a related field, along with at least 5-8 years of industry experience demonstrating operational understanding. While certifications are not mandatory, being a member of a professional institution relevant to your degree or a Chartered Environmentalist is preferred. Your ability to communicate complex technical information concisely, collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams, and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders are crucial skills for this role. Preferred skills include knowledge and experience in using PowerBI, familiarity with key global ESG disclosure requirements, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of bp or peer business operations and HSSE auditing, industry knowledge, and advocacy, OMS, bp requirements, process safety culture, process safety management, risk management, and safety leadership will be advantageous. In this role, you will collaborate closely with key personnel such as SVP HSE&C, VP E&S, E&S Systems and Data Manager, HSE&C E&S Subject Matter Experts, and E&S Advisors within operations.
