Equipment Sourcing Specialist - Electrical Parts

Role Overview: You will be joining Bekaert, a company dedicated to creating innovative solutions and sustainable practices to contribute to a safer, more efficient, and connected world. As an Electrical Sourcing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in understanding design requirements, leading negotiations with suppliers, and driving strategic sourcing processes. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, assessing supplier capabilities, and ensuring the smooth resolution of supplier-related issues. Key Responsibilities: - Understand design requirements and align them with Global Design standards, translating them into technical requirements for suppliers. - Lead technical, logistical, and commercial negotiations with suppliers in collaboration with the Central Purchasing Department (CPD). - Drive RFQ processes, including quote follow-ups, supplier meetings, and on-site evaluations. - Analyze quotations, compare supplier offers, and prepare evaluations and decision matrices for strategic sourcing. - Assess supplier capabilities (quality, logistics, price, support) and coordinate with cross-functional teams for final selection. - Support invoice verification and resolve supplier-related issues effectively. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical, or a related field with 5-7 years of experience in technical sourcing, supplier development, or a related role. - Strong understanding of electrical components and their application in industrial systems. - Excellent negotiation and communication skills, capable of leading discussions involving technical and commercial considerations. - Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global teams. - Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail. - Willingness to travel for supplier visits and evaluations.,
