Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Risk assessment and management:
Identify, assess, and control workplace hazards, including chemical, physical, and ergonomic risks. Conduct regular risk assessments and create action plans to mitigate risks.
Policy and procedure development:
Create, implement, and enforce health and safety policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and national health and safety regulations.
Training and education:
Develop and deliver health and safety training programs for employees to ensure they are aware of risks and proper procedures.
Inspections and audits:
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to ensure a safe working environment.
Incident investigation:
Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences.
Compliance monitoring:
Monitor and ensure adherence to safety laws and regulations. Maintain records and documentation, such as material safety data sheets (MSDS).
Emergency preparedness:
Develop and implement emergency response plans.
Occupational hygiene:
Monitor and evaluate workplace conditions, such as air quality and noise levels.
Equipment and PPE:
Ensure that all necessary safety equipment is available, maintained, and used correctly.
