Environment Health and Safety Executive

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Jr. Officer Safety (EHS) to join our team in the agrochemical industry in Gujarat. The ideal candidate will have 3-9 years of experience in Environment Health & Safety, with a strong background in EHS management systems.

• Comply with legal requirements for safety, health, and environment at site.
• Maintain a work permit system (W.P.S.) at site, ensuring proper permits for all work activities.
• Ensure statutory/safety compliance as per Factory Act, receiving reports from and responding to orders issued by Department of Labor/Factory Inspectors.
• Inspect the site to ensure it is a hazard-free environment.
• Provide safety induction training to all employees and conduct toolbox meetings.
• Audit safety tools, personal protective equipment, and firefighting systems.
• Verify that all contractor tools and equipment are adequate and safe for use, maintaining proper documentation.
• Conduct investigations into accidents and near-misses, reporting to concerned authorities or mandated by regulations.
• Assist in emergency response and provide first aid treatment.
• Supervise and watch out for site construction safety, protecting workers from hazardous situations.
• Implement compliance programs such as LTO, Hazard Communication, Hot/Height Work, Respiratory Program, and conduct emergency drills; maintain HSE related documents and checklists.
• Prepare job-related documents, including daily reports, and instruct usage during job execution to prevent accidents; conduct tool box talks before new work starts and instruct PPE usage.

• Diploma in Fire & Safety (mandatory) or B.E/B.Tech, Bachelor's Degree in Safety or related field.
• Possess strong knowledge of Environment Health & Safety management systems, including CPR methods and EMS.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to identify hazards.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience working in the engineering or R&D industry, focusing on quality and compliance.
