About PPES

Founded in the year 2000, by Virendra (Sam) Singh, former President and Managing Director of DuPont South Asia. PPES is presently working with around 3500 girls and about 10,400 women in across 120 villages in and around Anupshahr town in Western Uttar Pradesh. The objective is the social upliftment and economic empowerment of the girls and women in this region. PPES’ interventions are in the fields of Education (Formal School & Higher Education), Health & Hygiene, Women Empowerment, and Economic Empowerment. 

With the ultimate aim of ensuring financial independence for these girls and women, PPES also ensures that they are equal and contributing members of their families and communities. PPES ensures the economic empowerment of these women through livelihood generation and income enhancement activities. PPES also facilitates saving and inter-loaning options along with ensuring social empowerment by eradicating discrimination.

About You

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced English Teacher to join our school's faculty and provide comprehensive language skills to students in senior classes (9th to 12th). The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of English languages and be well-versed in technologies. The candidate's ability to engage and inspire students, coupled with their hands-on experience, will be key to fostering a stimulating learning environment.

The Role

This position will report to the principal and will play a key role in enabling PPES’s future growth.

Job Responsibilities

·      You will be responsible for English Lab, where students from classes 9^th to 12^th will be attending English communication classes at least twice in a week. The objectives of the above classes are, that when the students complete their 12th-grade classes they will be able to communicate in English (Oral & Writing).

·      Provide classes to students of grades 9^th to 12^th.

·      Create curriculum and lesson plans for the above classes.

·      Provide resources to teachers and training as and when required.

·      Able to work on the enhancement of language skills of teachers as well as students by taking sessions with them.

·      Able to conduct online practices with students of all grades and with a set of teachers too like story watching and narrating in their own words, predicting the meaning of words based on their usage in the sentences, and audio games.

·      Identify and provide a list of books as per student’s level.

·      Perform other duties assigned by the management as and when required any other.

·      Take care of overseas programmers like CCIP, and Yes Programme. Select girls and train them accordingly, so that they can go for the Programme.

·      From time to time meet with your subject group teachers and also help them make their plans.

·      Observe & identify where team/staff/students need training for Development (Ex. Personality Development, Moral Boosting, or in any other areas).

Experience and Qualifications

·      Master's degree in English subject or minimum 5-10 years of experience in teaching.

·      Familiarity with modern teaching techniques, tools, and technology for remote and in-person instruction.

·      Excellent communication skills to convey complex concepts in an understandable manner.

·      Passion for staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in the field of English language.

·      Patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to teaching and mentoring students.

·      Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that accommodates diverse learning styles.
