Engineer/Senior Maintenance Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Maintain Health & Safety systems as per Saint-Gobain standards including Risk Assessments, SOPS and Toolbox talks wherever appropriate
• Responsible for compliance with safety standards, guidelines and legislation and drive a safety culture to ensure safety in the work environment
• Should Understand Engineering drawings include PFDs, P&IDs, Equipment General Layout Drawings, and Plant Layout Drawings
• Coordinate with technology providers and detailed engineering contractors to resolve all technical issues during Erection and Commissioning activities.
• Interface with other Project Engineers, Mechanical Designers, Process Engineers, Electrical & Instrumentation Engineers, Project Manager for coordination & Timely completion of projects.
• Closely work with contractors/sub-contractors/3rd party service providers during project Execution
• Responsible for Preventive, Planned and Break down Maintenance Activities of Plant Equipments, Tools, Pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
• Hands on Experience in Maintenance of Heavy engineering equipment like Crushers, Vertical Roller Mills and Material Handling Equipments like Loader, Belt Conveyor, Screw Conveyors and Elevators and Pneumatic pumping system
• Experience in operation and regular Maintenance service of Hot Air Generator, Gas Burners, Dryers, Chillers, Blowers, Pumps, Compressors, Gear Boxes, Hydraulic systems and Pipelines.
• Hands on Experience of Maintenance of pollution control equipment like: Pulse Jet Dust Collector
• Assessing need of spare parts and ensuring relevant maintenance parts are sourced in a timely manner to minimize disruption
• Actively participate in development of processes to deliver best performance at cost competitiveness regard to Safety, Operation, Maintenance and Legal Compliance
• Maintenance of infrastructure as per regulatory requirement under safety and quality
• Leading Continuous Improvement of plant operation
• Key experience in implementation of maintenance strategies like CBM, SAP -PM, QPC,EWOs & MTTR/MTBF to enhance and sustain the Plant reliability.
• Practice and implement Reliability-based maintenance practices and continuous improvement processes (Kaizen)
• Perform breakdown analysis & implement corrective action.
• Lead a team of Mechanical Maintenance Technicians
• Responding immediately to machinery breakdowns
• Exposure to Power Generation plant would be an added advantage.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience

Experienced in a continuous Process Industry for the Building Material, preferably cement industry.

Education (Preferred Degree):

BE / Diploma specialized in Mechanical
