Engineering Manager - Frontend Architecture

Description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 8 to 10 software engineers focused on building scalable and high-performing web applications.
• Stay hands-on with coding primarily in React, Next.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery : from planning and architecture to deployment and performance optimization.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend teams to deliver high-quality features on time.
• Conduct code reviews, establish engineering best practices, and foster a culture of clean, maintainable code.
• Contribute to backend discussions and integration (basic familiarity with Node.js or similar backend technologies is a plus).
• Drive technical excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
  

Requirements

• 8+ years of overall experience in software development, with a strong foundation in frontend technologies.
• Proven team management experience (8 to 10 engineers).
• Strong hands-on skills in React.js, Next.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Exposure to backend systems (Node.js, APIs, or microservices preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving, architectural, and communication skills.
• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to balance coding and leadership.

• Experience in performance optimization and front-end architecture.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Contributions to open-source projects or tech communities.
