About the Role:

Engineering Manager (Java)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 5–10 software engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  
• Drive end-to-end ownership of product features — from architecture and design to development, deployment, and maintenance.
  
• Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, and DevOps teams to ensure technical excellence and timely delivery.
  
• Define and implement best practices for coding standards, performance optimization, and system scalability.
  
• Participate in design and architecture discussions, code reviews, and sprint planning sessions.
  
• Identify and mitigate technical risks; ensure robust security and compliance in all deliverables.
  
• Stay current with emerging technologies and drive innovation within the team.
  

Technical Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in

  Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture

  .
• Proficiency with

  RESTful APIs

  ,

  Kafka/RabbitMQ

  , and

  SQL/NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.)

  .
• Experience with

  Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, or similar)

• Exposure to

  AWS / GCP / Azure

  cloud platforms.
• Solid understanding of

  system design, distributed systems, and performance tuning

  .
• Prior experience working in

  Fintech / Payments / Banking / Lending

  domains is strongly preferred.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  
• 6–9 years of total experience, with at least 2 years in a

  team lead or engineering management

  role.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in building large-scale

  financial transaction or real-time systems

  .
• Knowledge of

  security frameworks (OAuth2, JWT, encryption standards)

  and

  compliance (PCI DSS, ISO 27001)

  .
• Familiarity with

  Agile / Scrum

  methodologies and product-driven development.
