Engineering Manager - Finance Automation

As an Engineering Manager at Zinnia, you will lead a team of skilled engineers to drive innovation and disruption in the insurance industry through technology-driven platforms. Your role is crucial in guiding the technical vision, fostering a culture of collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team. Working closely with the Product Manager, you will streamline discovery and delivery processes to enhance solutions further, ultimately contributing to our fast-paced growth. Responsibilities: - Work collaboratively with a global, cross-functional team to develop innovative software for Zinnia's stakeholders. - Lead, mentor, hire, and manage a team(s) of engineers to build and maintain solutions supporting the team. - Define clear goals, prioritize tasks, manage trade-offs, and develop a technical vision for your team(s). - Cultivate trust within the team, collaborate across teams, and involve partners in decision-making processes. - Empower teams with responsibilities, metrics, and support their technical growth. - Establish team structure aligned with the strategy, focusing on performance, development, and recruitment. - Advocate for engineering best practices, continuous improvement, and an inclusive work environment. - Design and implement iterative solutions in collaboration with Product, Design, and Marketing teams. - Collaborate with leadership on technical strategy and adapt to changing priorities. Qualifications: - 10+ years of experience as a software engineer, specializing in creating and supporting products. - Proven track record of mentoring and developing software engineers" careers. - Demonstrated ability to set clear goals, manage trade-offs, and drive a technical vision. - Experience in building collaborative partnerships with product managers and designers. - Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate thoughts and decisions effectively. - Effective interpersonal and critical thinking skills. - Educational qualification of BTech / BE / MCA / MTech / ME or equivalent from reputable institutes.,
