Compliance Risk Analyst

As a Risk Analyst at our company, you will be a vital part of the Legal, Compliance, and Risk team, working closely with the Head of Risk to identify, assess, manage, and monitor risks associated with our Fintech and Insuretech companies, as well as our Third Party Administrator. We are looking for an individual with strong analytical skills, a background in the financial and/or insurance industry, and a deep understanding of risk management. Your collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential in assessing risks and controls, enhancing risk management processes, providing regular reporting, and contributing to the overall success of our business. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough risk assessments across various business areas to pinpoint potential risks and vulnerabilities. You will analyze data to evaluate the financial impact of identified risks and work with the Head of Risk to propose effective risk mitigation strategies. Staying informed about emerging industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments will enable you to assess their implications on our risk profile. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to implement risk management policies and procedures in alignment with industry standards and regulations will be a key part of your role. Additionally, preparing detailed risk reports for senior management, focusing on metrics, key findings, trends, and recommendations is crucial. You will also be involved in special projects and assigned additional duties as necessary. To excel in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Business, or Risk Management, along with over 5 years of experience in Risk Management and/or Compliance. Extensive experience implementing risk management strategies within the life insurance and annuity industry, Fintech, and/or Insuretech sectors is highly preferred. Your ability to collaborate effectively with various teams to enhance the controls environment through automated techniques is essential. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, proficiency in data analysis tools, knowledge of regulatory requirements, and excellent communication skills to convey complex risk concepts to non-technical stakeholders are all vital. Being detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team are qualities that will contribute to your success in this role. Bonus points if you hold certifications such as CRM, FRM, or CERA.
