The Role

Engineering Manager (Backend)

Key Responsibilities

Lead & grow a team of backend engineers
Own technical architecture & system design decisions
Conduct code reviews and ensure engineering excellence
Collaborate with Product, QA, and Support teams
Drive engineering metrics (DORA, SLA, velocity)
Mentor engineers into future technical leaders

What We’re Looking For

10+ yrs in software engineering, 4+ yrs in leadership roles
Strong expertise in
Java (11+), Spring Boot, microservices, distributed systems
Hands-on with
cloud-native (AWS/Azure/GCP), CI/CD, DevOps, observability
Proven experience building scalable
SaaS platforms
Strong SQL/NoSQL database skills for high-volume systems
Knowledge of security, compliance, and enterprise-grade reliability

Nice to Have

Fintech or trading systems background
Experience with low-latency, real-time, or global-scale platforms
