Job Description

Role Overview: As the Engineering Leader at Capgemini Engineering, you will be responsible for driving innovation, strategy, and execution within the Industrial Automation accounts. Your role will involve leading cross-functional teams to design and deliver cutting-edge automation solutions, fostering technology adoption across industries, and enhancing overall performance. Your deep expertise in industrial automation, robotics, IIOT, and digital transformation will be crucial in achieving success in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Leadership & Strategy: Lead the development and deployment of advanced industrial automation solutions, including robotics, PLCs, SCADA, MES, and IIoT platforms to align with customer goals. - Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, understanding their requirements, addressing challenges, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, customized digital solutions. - Project Oversight: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of engagements, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget. Apply project management methodologies and best practices for successful project outcomes. - Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with key stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and technology partners, to gather requirements, address challenges, and ensure successful deployment of digital solutions. - Innovation: Stay updated on emerging technologies and promote adoption of AI/ML, cloud, and edge technologies for predictive maintenance and smart manufacturing. - Training & Support: Develop training programs aligned with account goals to ensure effective utilization of digital tools by the team. Qualifications Required: - Education: Bachelors degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Automation, or related fields). Advanced degrees or certifications in digital transformation or project management are a plus. - Experience: Minimum of 15+ years of experience in industrial automation, IIOT, or related fields. Proven expertise in designing and implementing automation systems in manufacturing or process industries. - Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of industrial automation tools and technologies (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, ABB, Schneider). Knowledge of IIOT platforms (e.g., Azure IoT, AWS IoT, PTC Thing Worx). - Project Management: Strong project management skills with experience in leading cross-functional teams and applying methodologies such as Agile or Safe for project delivery. - Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a demonstrated ability to use data for strategic decisions and process improvements. - Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership. - Travel: Willingness to travel to customer locations as required, including local and other cities within India.
