Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Production & Process Management

Plan and execute daily production activities for the through-hole (THT/PTH) assembly line.
Ensure compliance with process parameters like soldering temperature, conveyor speed, preheat zones, etc.
Optimize workflow and line balancing for maximum efficiency.
Monitor and maintain solder pot conditions (temperature, solder level, contamination).
Implement process improvements to reduce rework and defects.

Quality Control

Ensure solder joint quality meets IPC standards.
Identify and analyze process defects such as solder bridging, insufficient solder, or component misalignment.
Work closely with quality engineers to drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Maintain traceability and ensure first-pass yield (FPY) improvement.

Equipment & Maintenance

Oversee maintenance of wave soldering machines, loaders/unloaders, conveyors, and fixtures.
Ensure calibration and preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
Troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain daily production logs, downtime reports, and material usage records.
Prepare line performance reports (OEE, output, yield).
Support internal and external audits (ISO, IATF, customer).

Team & Training

Supervise line operators, technicians, and helpers.
Conduct training on ESD, process parameters, and quality standards.
Ensure safety and 5S implementation on the shop floor.

Preferred candidate profile

Strong knowledge of Through-Hole/Wave Soldering process.
Familiarity with IPC, ESD, and SMT-PTH process flow.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Leadership and communication abilities.
Basic understanding of Lean manufacturing and Kaizen principles.
