Engineer/ Sr. Engineer- Electrical Maintenance

Job Purpose/ Mandate

Lead a shift of the plant maintenance function in providing both a reactive and proactive approach, multi skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. Manage the team on technical best practice and establish standard policies and procedures whilst also mentoring and leading the shift.

Role & responsibilities

1. Implementation of best practice maintenance processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance. This includes total preventive maintenance, managing breakdowns. Troubleshooting of motors, MCC, PCC, VFD, PLC panels.

2. Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principles.

3. Statutory compliance and safety audits

4. Energy saving and cost reduction initiatives

5. Maintain records, logbooks, and checklists

6. Advanced troubleshooting of electrical and automation systems

7. Audit and ensure compliance of the engineering system. Scheduling of works maximizing planned down time and reducing unplanned downtime.

8. Optimize equipment according to standard procedure, enhance performance and product quality, ensuring the achievement of all key performance indicators (KPIs).

Technical Skill Required

1. Expertise in handling specific tools, machines, Processes etc.

2. Understanding Advanced Maintenance, Preventive and Predictive Maintenance, Major maintenance overhaul and driving Autonomous Maintenance.

3. Critical equipment analysis and condition monitoring techniques. Equipment standardization.

Work Experience and Education Requirement

Extensive plant level experience with significant man management experience, technical capability and understanding. Diploma / Degree (Electrical) with approx. 3 to 5 years of work experience in manufacturing / production industry.
