Engineer / Senior Engineer - PPC

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic professional to enhance our production planning and control operations. The ideal candidate will bring extensive hands-on experience in order-driven planning, cross-functional team coordination, production schedule monitoring, and ensuring timely delivery while optimising machine planning and capacity utilisation.

Role & responsibilities

* Thoroughly review customer requirements and meticulously convert sales orders into detailed work orders/job cards.

* Collaborate effectively with design, procurement, production, quality, and dispatch teams to guarantee the seamless execution of production plans.

Assessment of Capacity and Resource Availability

Meticulously plan to meet target deadlines, ensuring the availability of materials and resources at all times.

Continuous Monitoring of Work-in-Progress (WIP)

Monitor WIP closely and ensure timely availability of materials and resources.

Preparation and Maintenance of Detailed Production Schedules

Prepare and maintain comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules, reports, and dashboards.

Production Variance, Delay, and Bottleneck Tracking and Analysis

On-Time Delivery (OTD) and effectively manage customer commitments

Inventory Management

Control inventory levels of raw materials and semi-finished goods to prevent overstocking or shortages.

Continuous Improvement in Planning Systems, Processes, and Tools

Drive continuous improvement in planning systems, processes, and tools, including SAP/MIS.

Plant Efficiency, Cost Reduction, and Adherence to Safety and Quality Standards

Support plant efficiency, cost reduction, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Skills and Competencies

- Proficiency in SAP systems and MS Excel/Project for planning and reporting.

- Analytical thinking with the ability to interpret production data and trends.

- Excellent coordination and cross-functional communication skills.

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.

- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and capacity planning tools.

Educational Qualifications

- Certification in Production Planning, Supply Chain, or Operations Management is preferred.
