Engineer - safety & reliability

As a Reliability and Safety Engineer at Eaton based in Pune, India, your role will be crucial in ensuring the safety, health, and wellness of the Aerospace business. Your responsibilities will include: - Delivering RMS work packages for multiple Aerospace - Fluid Motion Controls (FMC) product lines without affecting project schedules. - Influencing design with innovative ideas to mitigate reliability and safety risks while optimizing product performance. - Conducting reliability life testing using internal test labs and external agencies as necessary. - Building and maintaining an actuarial model library of Aerospace components. You will also be responsible for creating and revising RMS deliverables such as Reliability, Maintainability & Safety Program Plan, Functional Hazard Assessment (FHA/SFHA), System Safety Analysis (PSSA/SSA), and other related analyses for NPIs and existing product enhancements. Collaboration with cross-functional and global reliability engineering teams is essential for identifying, managing, and mitigating reliability and safety risks. Qualifications: - Required: Bachelors Degree in Electronics Engineering - Preferred: Masters Degree in Reliability Engineering - Masters Degree in Reliability Engineering with 0-1 year experience in Aero RAMS - Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Electronics Engineering with 3-4 years experience in Aero RAMS Skills: - Awareness of standards such as NPRD-95, FMD-97, MIL-HDBK-217F, SAE ARP 4761, SAE ARP 4754, FAR regulations, and more. - Proficiency in reliability statistics, FTA/FMEA, developing & analyzing component failure rates, and knowledge in FRACAS. - Experience with reliability/safety analysis tools like RAM Commander/Reliasoft/Sherlock is preferred. - Working knowledge in Aerospace systems and DFSS GB certification is desirable. In addition to technical skills, your proficiency in Process Management, Problem Solving, Decision Quality, Drive for Results, and Interpersonal Savvy will be vital in successfully exceeding goals and building rapport with stakeholders.,
