Engineer - Production

As a Production Engineer at Gilbarco Veeder-Root, a Vontier company, your role involves executing the production plan efficiently by utilizing available resources such as manpower and machinery in alignment with the Material planning team. Your main objective is to work collaboratively with the Cross-Functional Team (CFT) to achieve key performance indicators related to Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery (OTD), Cost, and Productivity. Key Responsibilities: - Meet the production plan consistently and ensure schedule adherence. - Focus on maintaining and enhancing safety systems on the shop floor. - Conduct daily management (DM) meetings to review Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity metrics with the site leadership. - Uphold the 5S system in the shop floor. - Ensure adherence to Quality standards. - Monitor production and assembling processes. - Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings. - Manage the daily production plan using hourly scorecards with end-to-end ownership in the work area. - Address day-to-day failures at the shop floor level through the Daily Management board. - Drive productivity improvement through process enhancements. - Plan for the availability of production consumables, fixtures, and optimize costs. - Ensure shop floor adherence to processes and address audit findings. - Plan shift operations effectively. - Mentor operators and manage their performance. - Coordinate with other departments for a seamless flow on the shop floor. - Post produced Finished goods against production orders in SAP. - Willingness to work across 3 shifts when required.
