Engineer - Packaging Design

As a Packaging Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing optimized packaging solutions that meet customer needs in all aspects. You will work closely with the business development team to understand customer requirements and interact with customers independently or alongside the sales team to gather necessary inputs for packaging concepts. Your main responsibilities will include: - Developing optimized design concepts in coordination with the Sales and Cross-Functional Team to meet customer and internal demands - Presenting packaging concepts to customers for feedback and improvements, ensuring customer buy-in - Coordinating with the Manufacturing team and suppliers for prototype development - Conducting testing, validation, and proving of the developed designs and solutions - Creating production drawings in accordance with Nefab standards - Ensuring timely reporting as per internal requirements - Maintaining documentation as per Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) processes Qualifications required for this role include: - Degree in Engineering - 3 to 5 years of design experience in an industrial solution setup In addition to the above, you should possess the following skills and competencies: - Innovative and creative mindset - Proficiency in AutoCAD and related design software - Experience in testing and validation processes - Understanding of costing and product knowledge - Attention to detail and quick learner - Strong logical thinking and communication skills If you have a background in design and application engineering within light engineering, machine building, material handling, storage solutions, or logistics industries, it would be advantageous. Direct exposure to industrial packaging and knowledge of Pulp Tray, Thermoforming Tray, Injection Molding, and Tooling Design will also be considered as added advantages.,
