2. Allocatemanpower across fitters, MIG/FCAW welders, tack welders, grinders, and materialhandlers based on released drawings and kit availability.

3. Reviewdrawings and fit-up sequence to ensure proper joint preparation before weldingbegins.

4. Ensureadherence to welding sequence, bead quality, and consumable usage per WPS andproject specs.

5. TrackWIP across cells; update PPC Coordinator with shift progress and flag anyexpected delays.

6. Coordinatewith QC and the Welding Expert for timely inspections; conduct internal checksbefore offering jobs for clearance.

7. Conductshift start/end huddles, record productivity, and report output for eachwelding cell.

8. Maintaincleanliness, traceability, and tool control in the section; ensure EOT cranemovement and lifting are done safely.

9. Escalateequipment or tool breakdowns immediately to the Maintenance Coordinator.

10. Supportsmooth shift transitions through structured documentation and handovers.

Qualifications Experience

Diploma in Welding, Mechanical, or FabricationEngineering (B.Tech. preferred)

6+ years of hands-on experience in structural orstainless steel fabrication projects

Skilled in reading fabrication drawings, weldsymbols, and managing SMAW, MIG/FCAW welding

Experience supervising welding teams in shiftenvironments with quality and safety accountability

Familiarity with stainless steel weldingpractices, WPS compliance, joint fit-up, and EOT coordination.
