We recruit, reward, and develop our people based on merit, regardless of race, nationality, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, marital status, or disability We value our people and treat everyone who works for or with Petrofac fairly and without discrimination, The world is re-thinking its energy supply and energy security needs and planning for a phased transition to alternative energy sources We are here to help our clients meet these evolving energy needs, This is an exciting time to join us on this journey, Are you ready to bring the right energy to Petrofac and help us deliver a better future for everyone JOB TITLE: Engineer II Subcontracts Scope Of Responsibilities Assist with all activities related to contractual and commercial issues related to: S Subcontracting processes during Proposal, Project Award and Post Award as applicable S Subcontracts agreements with Subcontractors; S Administration and Management of Subcontracts; S Implementation of Subcontractorsscope including variations, claims and extension of time; S Ensure adherence with procedures and promote continuous improvement for companys best practices, during project construction phase until close-out, Primary Duties Depending upon the assignment, Engineer I shall work on Proposals Awards or Post award Administration activities including: S Proposal & Award related activities eg: Prequalification of Bidders, Preparing work packages, Preparing and Floating Enquiries, Obtaining bid/offers, Evaluation and tabulation of Bids S Support senior team members at Proposal to prepare Price to proposals, fills client pricing formats and support in other proposal activities S Support senior team members at Award stage to prepare and obtain management approvals, Subcontract agreements and it annexures, interface with company ERP platforms, S Fully integrate and operate with expertise Company digitalized portals/ platforms eg SCMS, ERP as a minimum S Maintain Subcontract Departmental data bases under guidance from senior subcontracts management Post Award activities shall include S Assist in setting up workbook, SCMS uploads and downloads, maintain database of important correspondence between Petrofac and Subcontractors according to set procedures, S Assist with correspondences to Subcontractors on contractual /commercial matters, S Assist in defining Subcontractors scope and other terms and conditions for site awards , S Assist with Subcontractorsvariation orders requests including scope disputes and close-out, as requested by senior team members, S Assist with the preparation of draft answers to subcontractors claims and counterclaims in coordination with Project team and as requested by senior team members, S Assist in reviewing and commenting subcontractors back-charges, S Assist to prepare additional subcontract agreement / work orders with other parties in case of main subcontractors default as directed by superiors, S Assist with inputs for budgeting and cost control, S Assist in preparing Fields/ Site instructions as requested by superiors, S Follow closely work systems to ensure adherence to set procedures, S Assist team during internal and external audits, S Assist team with subcontract close-out, Job/Cost Impact: Assist with overall management of the Subcontractsworks Decision Making Authority S Assist in decision related to Prequalification of bidders, technical and commercial evaluations at Proposal and Award Stages S Assist with the preparation and administration of various types of instructions for Subcontractors, S Responsible to consult with Supervisor on key issues related to Subcontract Variations, Claims and Site Instructions, S Support and provide input for various decisions undertaken by Supervisors, Supervisory Responsibility: Engineer I/ II may be assigned to supervise Quantity surveyors as may be required Work Contacts Operations Manager Occasional Discipline Managers Frequent Project site Team Frequent Project Control Team Occasional Contract Manager Occasional Subcontractors personnel Frequent Discipline Engineers Frequent QS team Frequent Supervisors Frequent Competencies/Knowledge, Skills And Abilities S Quality conscious S Cost conscious S Communication skills S Analytical skills S Result Oriented S Team skills S Proactive approach S Ability to work under pressure S Computer skills S Good command of the English language, Additional Information
