Job Description

As a Senior Geotechnical professional at Jacobs, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate technical leadership, organizational skills, and development of Geotechnical personnel within the business. Your role will involve strategic thinking and effective communication to influence positive outcomes, leadership, client relationship development, and technical delivery. You will work both in the field and office as necessary. Key Responsibilities: - Coach and mentor new and existing Jacobs personnel to promote knowledge sharing and technical excellence. - Coordinate and communicate with junior staff on design and field activities, including reviewing field observations and providing timely feedback on construction works. - Conduct geotechnical assessment, analysis, and design, with a focus on site investigations, testing methods, and construction monitoring of pile foundation. - Identify geohazards, assess risks, and provide recommendations. - Review construction observations and ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, and method statements. - Analyze piling progress, report potential trends or issues, and participate in technical meetings. - Lead a team of engineers on various design projects and demonstrate strong business acumen and client relationship skills. - Perform seismic hazard analyses and ensure fair and honest dealings with others. Qualifications Required: - Relevant engineering degrees (M. Tech/M. E/MS in Geotechnical & B.Tech/B.E. in Civil engineering). - Familiarity with IS codes for pile design and construction. - 10-12 years of Geotechnical/site experience, preferably in foundation/pile design and construction monitoring. - Experience working in a team environment. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Sound experience in Geotechnical investigation, analysis, and design. - Understanding of relevant Geotechnical standards and design software. - Interpersonal and technical management skills. - Track record in client management and development in consulting.
