Role Overview: As a Technical-Specialist Big Data (PySpark) Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and unit testing software applications in an Agile development environment. You are expected to ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable, scalable, and high-performing software applications. Your strong technological background, expertise in Python and Spark technology, and ability to work independently will be crucial in guiding and mentoring junior resources within the team. Your role will involve extensive use of Continuous Integration tools and practices to support Deutsche Bank's digitalization journey. Key Responsibilities: - Design and propose solutions for user stories and tasks - Develop, unit-test, integrate, deploy, maintain, and enhance software - Conduct peer code reviews - Participate actively in sprint activities and ceremonies - Apply continuous integration best practices - Collaborate with team members to achieve Sprint objectives - Report progress using Agile team management tools - Manage individual task priorities and deliverables - Ensure the quality of solutions provided - Contribute to planning and continuous improvement activities Qualifications Required: - Minimum 5 years of development experience in Big Data platform - Hands-on experience in Spark (Hive, Impala) and Python programming - Preferably experienced in BigQuery, Dataproc, Composer, Terraform, GKE, Cloud SQL, and Cloud functions - Proficiency in setting up and maintaining continuous build/integration infrastructure as part of DevOps - Familiarity with development platforms like OpenShift/Kubernetes/Docker and DevOps tools such as GIT, TeamCity, Maven, SONAR - Knowledge of core SDLC processes and tools like HP ALM, Jira, and Service Now - Strong analytical and communication skills - Ability to work in virtual teams and matrixed organizations - Excellent team player with a willingness to learn and adapt to technical innovations - Understanding of relevant business areas and the capability to transfer knowledge to team members Additional Company Details: The company, Deutsche Bank Group, fosters a culture of excellence, responsibility, commercial thinking, initiative, and collaboration.
