The role of a Technical-Specialist Big Data (PySpark) Developer based in Pune, India involves designing, developing, and unit testing software applications in an Agile development environment. As an Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, maintainable, scalable, and high-performing software applications. You are expected to have a strong technological background with good working experience in Python and Spark technology. The role requires hands-on experience and the ability to work independently with minimal guidance while also providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members. You will play a key role in enforcing design and development skills within the team and will actively apply Continuous Integration tools and practices as part of Deutsche Bank's digitalization journey. Your key responsibilities will include designing solutions for user stories, developing and unit-testing software, integrating, deploying, maintaining, and improving software, performing peer code reviews, participating in sprint activities and ceremonies, applying continuous integration best practices, collaborating with team members, reporting progress using Agile team management tools, managing task priorities and deliverables, ensuring the quality of solutions provided, and contributing to planning and continuous improvement activities. To be successful in this role, you should have at least 5 years of development experience in Big Data platforms, hands-on experience in Spark and Python programming, familiarity with BigQuery, Dataproc, Composer, Terraform, GKE, Cloud SQL, and Cloud functions, experience in setting up and maintaining continuous build/integration infrastructure, knowledge of development platforms and SDLC processes and tools, strong analytical and communication skills, proficiency in English, ability to work in virtual teams and matrixed organizations, a willingness to learn and keep pace with technical innovation, and the ability to share knowledge and expertise with team members.
