Job Description

The NPD Engineer is responsible for driving the development and launch of new products from concept to commercialization. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with design, engineering, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure timely and successful product delivery aligned with market needs and business goals.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of tools, systems, and machinery in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of new and existing products to identify improvement opportunities
  • Develop concepts to meet product specifications, build prototypes, and validate designs through testing.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for component sourcing and prototyping.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal quality requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, drawings, and test reports.
  • Support pilot builds, design verification, and validation activities.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful product launches.

Mandatory Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in NPD of small/medium-sized hand tools, power tools, or machinery.
  • Expertise in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
  • Experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or interpreting FEA results.
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with SolidWorks.
  • Experience collaborating with vendors for concept development and feasibility analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired Skills

  • Experience working with cross-functional and global teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Qualifications

  • bachelors or masters degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
  • 4-7 years of experience in product development or engineering roles.
