Job Description

The NPD Engineer is responsible for driving the development and launch of new products from concept to commercialization. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with design, engineering, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure timely and successful product delivery aligned with market needs and business goals.

Responsibilities

Lead development of tools, systems, and machinery in the pharmaceutical industry.
Conduct comprehensive analysis of new and existing products to identify improvement opportunities
Develop concepts to meet product specifications, build prototypes, and validate designs through testing.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for component sourcing and prototyping.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal quality requirements.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, drawings, and test reports.
Support pilot builds, design verification, and validation activities.
Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful product launches.

Mandatory Skills

Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in NPD of small/medium-sized hand tools, power tools, or machinery.
Expertise in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
Experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or interpreting FEA results.
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with SolidWorks.
Experience collaborating with vendors for concept development and feasibility analysis.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired Skills

Experience working with cross-functional and global teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Qualifications

bachelors or masters degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
4-7 years of experience in product development or engineering roles.
